For Sale: Boucher Albatross

This beauty dates from the 1920s and is from the Boucher Scale Model provider out of New York city.  It was advertised in their 1922 catalogue.

It has a 50-inch LOD plus a bow sprit. The hull has been hand-carved using the bread-and-butter method. The gammon irons, gaff jaws, mast rings, travelers, spreaders, goosenecks, and mast bands, steering gear, ferrules, and turnbuckles are original fittings as identified in the 1922 catalogue entitled, Scale Models by Boucher, Inc. The gaff-rigged boat is also fitted with Boucher fitted sail shifting devices. A few parts such as the bowsies and the rigging hooks had to be made to restore the boat to original condition. These have been made based on period items that would have been used on a boat such as this. The boats is complete with slight damage on the deck but nothing unusual. The rig is in quite good condition.

John Stoudt is selling Albatross as is.  He is asking $1,500.00 OBO plus S & H. Local pickup can be arranged.
