Class Coordinators
The US VMYG is the premier organization supporting the building, restoration and sailing of vintage model sailing yachts. We are encouraging more vintage boat skippers (owners) to join the group and to get their boats on the water. We are also expanding outreach to involve more classes of vintage boats. Currently we support Free-Sailed boats, International A boats, Schooners, Skipjack 48, Unrestricted Models Class boats, Vintage 36-in boats (36/600), and the Vintage Marblehead (50/800) class boats. The Unrestricted Models class include but is not be limited to friendship sloops, ketches, yawls, America’s Cup replicas, cat boats, catamarans, and other boats. Additionally as other classes are identified the US VMYG will consider adding them to the list of supported classes.
The current class coordinators are:

The responsibilities of the coordinators are to issue sail numbers (in the short term), maintain a current rule for the class, serve as a point of contact for questions regarding the class, and provide information for articles to the newsletter editor.
We are working on electronic boat registration, which will include issuing sail numbers, by class. When this is finalized, the coordinators can focus their efforts on nurturing the class and finding more owners with their vintage boats to join the US VMYG.
