Unrestricted Models Racing Class

The US VMYG supports various classes of vintage model yachts. As extensive a list this is, it excludes a group of boats that model yacht enthusiasts have built through the years including catboats, catamarans, yawls, Americas Cup replicas, and others. Therefore we developed the Unrestricted Models Racing Class to enable these skippers and their boats to get out on the water and to make competition available for model yachts that do not fit in to other US VMYG classes. The model yacht in this class shall be a replica of a full size boat designed before 1970 or a design adaptation of a pre-1970 design.
