American Model Yacht Club - A period of high competitive activity and administrative transition.
Outing Trophy Race: The first challenge for the Outing trophy took place between the yachts Dolphin (defender) and Wave (challenger).
AMYC Season Opener: Held on May 30 from the club's new salt-water station, the races were hampered by measurement delays and a faulty measuring tank.
Perpetual Challenge Trophy: A formal challenge from the Wave Crest Model Yacht Club was received for the AMYC Perpetual Challenge Trophy. The challenger, a 43-inch yacht named Ripple, prompted the AMYC to schedule trial races to select a worthy defender.
