Foreword T the novice who is making his first model, to the man who has made ship model building his profession, and to the many whose ambition it is to create accurate replicas of old and new ships—clippers and yachts, corsairs and galleons, frigates and destroyers—this catalogue of Fisher scale model fittings is presented. The special attention of old and new customers is directed to the construction sets listed. They comprise all the materials necessary to proceed with the reproduction of the model selected. Materials are the best obtainable, and all fittings included are Fisher’s one grade,—the best. Fisher fittings are being used by many professional and skilled amateur ship model builders, whose repeat orders attest their satisfaction with our work. Our shop is equipped with modern precision tools, a diecasting machine, and specially designed machinery, and is able to take care of orders for special fittings not listed. Send sketch for estimate, which will be submitted promptly. Mr. A. J. Fisher, the sole owner, who takes an active personal interest in the business, has spent twenty years at sea and in marine repair shops and has a wide knowledge of ships and ship gear. Because they cannot be turned out in quantities by production methods, accurate scale models will never become commonplace. Such models demand the high-grade fittings listed in this catalogue.
