FISHER, INC. Why You Should Use Fisher Fittings in Building Your Ship Models @5 HE BUILDING of ship models has developed to a point where anything less than faithful reproduction and ac- curacy as to scale is not acceptable. The Fisher organization was founded by a man who spent twenty years of his life at sea and in marine shops—a man who knew and loved ships—a man who had a wide, practical knowledge of ships and ships’ gear. A master model builder himself Mr. Fisher began, several years ago to make parts and fittings for others and for 33 years his entire efforts were devoted to the manufacture of accurate, fittings. authentic This work is carried on in a modern shop, equipped with the finest precision tools, automatic machinery, die casting equipment and many specially designed machines, manned by experienced craftsmen who take a conscientious pride in producing the tiny parts that are required. Only the very best materials are used, as there is only one standard of quality —the best. Fittings are not only accurate as to their dimensions, but they are correct and authentic in design. Discriminating model builders the world over choose Fisher Fittings. Accurate scale models will never become commonplace, and such models deserve the best — the highest grade Fittings by Fisher. Few people realize that the Niagara is today the sole survivor of that hurried fleet, built in ninety days, wrecked in three hours, but yet the mute instrument by which the destiny of a nation was changed. Bravely she served the intrepid Commodore, Oliver Hazard Perry, in the moment he needed her most. His Flagship Niagara, declared obsolete by the navy for upwards of a century lay under water in Misery Bay, Presque Isle off Erie, Pa. Once she was raised and rebuilt-—in 1913—and, under her own sail, toured the Great Lakes. * A model of the Niagara, therefore, acquires unusual significance to those who cherish the history she represents.
