Jenny stay strut (Jenny strut, stay strut, jumper strut) [R22]: A support structure used on sailboats that helps maintain the tension of the headsail and prevents the mast from bending under sail pressure.
Stay struts are not placed on all model yachts. It is an assembly that enables you to adjust the shape of the top of the mast to improve performance. These struts are used to induce or control “pre-bend” in the mast. This allows model yacht sailors to flatten the mainsail in heavy winds or power it up in light air by adjusting how the mast curves.
