jib rack [R26]: The bracket on the deck where the jib swivel is attached near the bow. This is the jib attachment point.
This is the jib attachment point. The jib rack should have multiple holes and be sized for the model yacht you have. A smaller boat will need a rack with three holes, a medium sized boat, five holes, and larger boats, seven holes. Having numerous holes allow you to move the jib forward and aft for setup and in changing wind conditions.
There are a number of commercially available jib racks.
The Pekabe shroud rack blanks can be cut to size and used for jib and shroud racks, backstay bracket, and other fittings.
If you are so inclined, you can make your own out of brass or aluminum.
