bowsie [R06]: A simple device with three holes used for tensioning lines on a model yacht.
Bowsies are used in numerous locations on model yachts to adjust various lines and to hold them to that adjustment: the backstay, downhaul, forestay, jib halyard, outhauls, sheets, topping lift, If they are installed correctly on the right line, they are very effective in keeping a line secured to the point of adjustment.
SAILSetc has a variety of sizes available. Go to their website and search for bowsie. Pekabe has just one available.
